Dr. Therese Izzo Nemec joined Fox Valley Technical College in 1998 as an instructor in the Social Science and Supervisory Management departments. Over the years, she has served in a range of roles, including Adjunct and full-time Faculty, Department Chair, Associate Dean, and most recently as Director of Instructional Excellence and Title IX Co-Coordinator. Therese brings extensive expertise in instructional excellence, student success, human relations, and workplace relationship skills. She is a committed community leader, active in FVTC and the greater Appleton area, where she has served on multiple nonprofit and faith-based boards and led initiatives focused on equity, inclusion, and supporting those in need. A co-founder of FVTC’s Seeds of Hope, which provides emergency funds to students in needs, she also assists with FVTC’s United Way committee leadership. Therese earned a BA in Social Work/Psychology from Mount Mary College, a MS in Career and Technical Education/Psychology from UW–Stout, and a PhD in Leadership from Marian University, along with numerous specialized certifications in human relations related topics.
